[Leicester]: Orpheus Press [for Twelve by Eight], [1961]. Quarto. Bound in original quarter japon, with spine titled in gilt, and marbled paper covered boards; top-edges trimmed , others uncut. Unpaginated [28pp.]. Designed and hand-set by Douglas Martin. A Fine copy. One of 200 copies, of which this is number 167. The imprint under which this book appeared (Twelve by Eight), was adopted as a reference to the mould used to make the unique paper on which the text appears. As Martin relays on the colophon page, “Old bed sheets of several colours gave raw material for the paper, but the source of the supply cannot be disclosed. These were cut into small pieces, well wetted and left for a considerable time to partly rot, then pounded to a pulp in a hollowed out tree trunk mortar. Transferred to a wooden vat, water was added and the sheets lifted, one by one, on a Twelve by Eight mould.”. Item #57
