towards an erratic state; [comprising: the story of thomas & the translator’s notes.]

[Madeira Park, B.C.]: [Fox Run Press], [2004]. Duodecimo, 16.7 x 12.1 cm. Two sewn text-blocks laid into folded wraps of grey Iwahada Namari paper. Title to the upper cover, printed in a seemingly erratic fashion, with a seemingly erratic selection of metal and wood typefaces, in red and black. Printed flap folds. Variously paginated: the story of thomas: pp. [12] 25 [3]; the translator’s notes: pp. [6] 11 [3]. Two small nicks to p. 3 of the translator’s notes, else a fine copy. The text was set in an assortment of unidentified typefaces and printed both digitally and by letterpress. Accompanied by a (tongue in cheek) ‘warning’ slip, a business card advertising the press signed by the proprietor, and a twice folded sheet of ruled yellow pad paper, all loosely inserted. The latter was printed digitally with an apocryphal letter written in phonetic prose; it is addressed to the press from the author. One of 85 unnumbered copies. Item #249
