Unpaginated [52pp.]. 1cm. tear to the top of p. 9, else a Fine copy. Each spread is illustrated with a wood-cut, printed in red, by Peter Malutzki, who was also responsible for printing the present volume. One of 60 signed and numbered copies, of which this is number 55. Printed on folded newspaper sheets. This was the first book produced at the FlugBlatt-Presse, which Malutzki founded in 1980 after studying printing at the Hochschule Mainz. Malutzki’s subsequent experiments in design and the book arts, for which Der Holzweg sets the tone, have frequently involved the use of collage and non-traditional materials. Item #96
